This is self portrait week and I must say I am really not good at these. Focusing and posing is so hard when you can’t look through the viewfinder. I didn’t get to take a new self portrait this week, so I am posting one I took in September. It still cracks me up when I look at it.

  • […] As you can tell, our theme this week for our twenty-six week project is self portrait. As a photographer, I hate being in front of the camera. But I think that it’s important for me to do it often so I remember what my clients are going through when I am photographing them. If you have missed past themes, some of my favorites are Once Upon a Time, Lets Get Close and View From Up Here. Now head over to the fabulous Beth’s site to see her pictures. I love this! What a creative perspective!

I had to skip a few weeks, but I am back in the circle for week five. I have to say that this 26 week project has been more challenging than I thought it would be. For the month of March our technique is “framing” and our theme for week five is “favorite childhood book”. I immediately thought of this picture of my son reading his Corduroy book. It’s an older picture, but I thought it fit the theme perfectly. I just love the light here and he just looks so sweet. ♥
